RuisseauBlitz: Learning and Conserving (May 19, 2018)

Calling all budding scientists! The Ruisseau Jackson aire naturelle protégée (RJANP) team is inviting you to visit their website for details on the first “RJANP RuisseauBlitz.” Please take note of these dates before joining our biologists in one of many activities to be held on May 19, 2018. Boots not included!

Come and help our scientists make an inventory of birds, plants, fish, reptiles and amphibians. Your efforts will help inform conservation decisions. The ideal activity for nature lovers: ruisseaujackson.org. The findings will be presented to the public and environmental managers.

For the organization, your presence is very important! You will help us improve our knowledge of biodiversity in a beautiful area of the watershed. Indeed, while our environmental characterization studies allow us to understand the ecosystem as a whole, the RJANP RuisseauBlitz studies its elements: plants, birds, insects, etc. Eventually, your contribution, combined with that of scientists, will allow our network to prioritize a set of actions aimed at protecting a set of ecological attributes. Together, we could define an iconic bird for RJANP or find the best ways to protect a rare species of frog
