This section provides the information you need to exercise your right to vote or run for the municipal election of November 2, 2025.

The election results will be posted online on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Voters
Who can vote?
To be eligible to vote, you must:
be 18 years old on election day;
be a Canadian citizen;
not have lost your voting rights.
You must also meet one of the following two conditions:
be domiciled in the municipality and have resided in Québec for at least 6 months;
be the owner of a property or the occupant of a place of business located in the territory of Mille-Isles for at least 45 days.
Your home is not located in Mille-Isles?
You may be entitled to vote if you are the owner of a property or if you occupy a place of business in the municipality.
You may qualify, for example, if you are:
the sole owner or co-owner of a property;
the owner or co-owner of a cottage or secondary residence;
the occupant or co-occupant of a place of business.
To exercise your right to vote, you must submit a registration application to the Returning Officer.
The form required depends on the applicant’s situation:
A non-resident elector who is the sole owner of a property or the sole occupant of a place of business located in the municipality must submit Form SMR-9.2;
Co-owners of a property or co-occupants of a place of business must designate one person among them, by means of , using the Proxy Form SMR-9.1 to be entered on the voters’ list.
For the application to be valid for the current election, you must submit your form no later than September 28, 2025, before 4:30 p.m. to the office of the Returning Officer. After this date, you must present yourself to the revision board between October 14 and 17.
The registration application or proxy remains valid until it is replaced or withdrawn. If you wish to replace or withdraw an existing registration application or proxy, please contact the Returning Officer.

Am I registered?
Registration on the electoral list is not automatic.
Anyone who wishes to exercise their right to vote must ensure that they are registered.
The Municipality’s assessment records are not connected to the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec’s (DGEQ) electoral list. Payment of your tax bill does not guarantee your registration on the permanent electoral list.
- Receipt of the notice
In the fall, a notice will be mailed to every address within the municipality. This document will indicate, as applicable, either the names of registered persons or the lot number. - Verification of information
It is essential to ensure that your name and contact information appear on the notice you receive by mail. - Correction if necessary
If you notice an error or that your name is missing, you must appear before the revision commission in order to register or correct your registration.
What is mobile voting?
Are you in a recognized healthcare facility or residing within the municipality and unable to travel due to health reasons?
You can request to vote in your room or at home.
You can also update your registration on the electoral list.

What to bring to a vote?
To vote in an election, you must be on the list of electors and present one of the following pieces of identification:
- Quebec health insurance card;
- Quebec driver’s licence;
- Canadian passport;
- Certificate of Indian Status;
- Canadian Armed Forces identity card.
It is suggested that you bring a lead pencil or a blue or black ink pen to mark your ballot.
