Working committees

Working committees are established by the council through resolution to study specific issues on specific topics establishes working committees. For example: urban planning, recreations, environment, finances, etc.

Working Committees members may be citizens, professionals, elected officials or municipal employees. An elected official or municipal employee is designated by the council to chair the working committees.

The role of these working committees is to study in depth the files entrusted to them by council. They can examine and analyze different methods or solutions. They may make recommendations to the council on the basis of documented facts or demonstrations. Their role is strictly advisory since the final decision on the recommendations rests with the council.
