The municipality has a full-size skating rink at Hammond-Rodgers Park which is the envy of many. Free skating and hockey games are scheduled weekly.

In the spring, the municipality’s decks transform into a garden. Mille-Isles’ garden is a community garden, everyone is invited to participate in planting and its maintenance. The harvest is offered free to all citizens, and you can come by anytime to serve yourself. Check out Info Mille-Isles, our local newsletter, which will give you the planting dates.

The Municipality proposes you to come and cook gourmet recipes, healthy, made from season fresh produce. Are you interested? Culinary workshops are held once a month at a cost of $ 7 per person. The Municipality of Mille-Isles offers you a nature path allowing you to breathe fresh air. The walking trail is nearly one kilometer at your disposal at Hammond Rodgers Park. This trail is lined with exercise stations where, when the season allows, you can train free of charge. During the summer, the Municipality and its partners offer cardio and weight training sessions on this trail.

The Municipality has two playgrounds. Young people will be able to entertain and meet new friends! The toddler park is located at the corner of Black Road and Mille-Isles Road, while the 5 to 12-year-old playground is located at Hammond-Rodgers Park.

Every year, the children of the Municipality of Mille-Isles are invited to participate in the Halloween activities organized by the Tamaracouta Scout Camp. During this day, several activities are organized such as a pumpkin decoration contest or the famous haunted house . Parents wishing to distribute candy on this day, may reserve a confectionery table.

Year after year, firefighters visit homes during the day of the food drive to collect donations and non-perishable food. Watch for the date on the website or in Info Mille-Isles.

The Municipality of Mille-Isles started in 2014 the Municipality of Friends of Family and Seniors. As a result of this decision, a working committee was formed to establish a family and senior’s policy. This policy has different objectives. It aims to improve the quality of life of families and seniors, encouraging the establishment of new families and existing families and seniors to remain in Mille-Isles It also serves to develop a sense of belonging and citizen involvement.

In the summer of 2016, the Mille-Isles family and senior’s policy was drafted along with a three-year action plan. The municipality is proud to present the plan here.

In January 2017, a follow-up committee for this action plan was set up and activities will follow. These activities will be communicated to you in the activities section of this site.

Every year you have the opportunity to celebrate at the enchanting site of the Tamaracouta Scout. This day is dedicated to the residents participate in a BBQ lunch, gather and meet some of the municipal staff, to discover local artisans and enjoy their family and neighbors. On this occasion, several activities are on the menu including swimming, canoeing, skill games, inflatable games, not forgetting the famous sand castles contest.

Viactive is a proven exercise program designed to help seniors move more steadily. It offers general fitness exercises that will help to improve and maintain muscle strength and endurance, aerobic fitness, flexibility and coordination. Unfortunately, as a result of a lack of attendance, sessions held on Monday and Friday at 10:00 am at the Strong Community Hall were canceled. In December, the Municipality invites the families to visit with Santa Claus! Come and enjoy the great outdoors on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, a snack in good company, then meet Santa and receive a gift. Children must be enrolled to receive their gift. The municipality is proud to announce that from February 12th, 2017 there will be a workshop for children from 0 to 5 years old. The workshops will be very diverse, featuring stimulating and play-learning activities for pre-schoolers. These workshops will be held Sunday once a month, alternating between the Strong Room in Mille-Isles and in the Trinity room in the Township of Gore.
