Interruption of non-essentials municipal activities

Due to the preventive measures proposed by the government to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the municipal council decided at its meeting of March 13, 2020, to close the Strong Community Hall for an indefinite period . As a result, all Leisure services events and activities are cancelled until further notice. Town Hall services and emergency services are maintained. Citizens are invited to stay tuned to announcements or measures taken by the Municipality via its website or Facebook page. Christmas Party

In December, the Municipality invites the families to visit with Santa Claus! Come and enjoy the great outdoors on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, a snack in good company, then meet Santa and receive a gift. Children must be enrolled to receive their gift.

Young people must be registered for the activity in order to receive their gift.

This year Santa Claus will be coming on December 8, 2019. The deadline to register your children is November 9th.

Food Drive

Year after year, firefighters visit homes during the day of the food drive to collect donations and non-perishable food. Watch for the date on the website or in Info Mille-Isles.

Mille-Isles celebration and environment day

Every year, you have the opportunity to enjoy the Mille-Isles celebration and environment day for free. This day dedicated to the residents aims to create a gathering moment where it is allowed to meet the majority of the municipal staff, to discover craftsmen and to have fun. On this occasion, many activities are on the menu, kiosks, food, games and a festive atmosphere are offered on the site of the City Hall and Hammond-Rodgers Park.

Kitchen workshops

Family in action for children 0-5 years old

The Municipality is proud to offer workshops for children from 0 to 5 years old. The workshops will be very varied, consisting of activities of awakening, stimulation and playful learning for preschoolers. These workshops will be held one Sunday per month alternately at the Strong Hall in Mille-Isles one month and at the Trinity Community Hall in Gore Township the following month.

Children must be accompanied by a parent.

No reservations are required and the workshops are free!

Community garden

In the spring, the municipality’s decks transform into a garden. Mille-Isles’ garden is a community garden, everyone is invited to participate in planting and its maintenance. The harvest is offered free to all citizens, and you can come by anytime to serve yourself. Check out Info Mille-Isles, our local newsletter, which will give you the planting dates.
